Rosetta Nesibith

RUFFIN-NESIBITH, Ms. Rosetta Jean "Rose" (Waller) - Age 57, passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at Avalon Hospice. A celebration of her life will be held at 11AM Monday, November 14, 2005 at Blackwell A.M.E. Zion Church, 1902 Sonny St., with funeral service commencing at 12Noon. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Monday. Ms. Ruffin-Nesibith will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10AM-8PM Sunday. Ms. Rosetta Jean "Rose" Ruffin-Nesibith was born on July 3, 1948 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Ferrald and Julia Waller. Rose accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Blackwell A.M.E. Zion Church. She graduated from Central High School "Class of 1966". She attended Mott Community College, majoring in Accounting. Ms. Ruffin-Nesibith was employed with AC Spark Plugs, a division of General Motors Corporation, and with Meijers as a Cashier Clerk. Rosetta was a strong little woman with a huge heart. Rose loved writing, reading, poetry, sewing, holiday and family gatherings, word searches, dancing, listening to music and taking pictures of her family whom she loved dearly. Ms. Rosetta Jean "Rose" Ruffin-Nesibith leaves to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Julia and Rachelle Ruffin, Antoinette (Broderick) Hannah; father, Ferrald Waller, Sr.; grandchildren, Amari Holmes and Braylond Hannah; sister, Glodena Vann; nephew, Ferrald Waller, III; great nephew, Mekai Waller; extended family including daughters, Michele (Ron) Duncan, Cynthia (Dwayne) Drumgole, Laura (Andre') Henry; sons, Jeffery and Winston Ruffin; many other special relatives including the Ruffin, Hardy, Nesibith and Leggins Families; a host of special friends including childhood friend, Merdice Coleman, Sharlene Woodward, Norma Williams, Martha Sutton, Ramona Hawkins, Evelyn Wilson, the Whitner, Leflore, Dent and Rison Families. Ms. Rosetta Jean "Rose" Ruffin-Nesibith was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Waller; sister, Ella Mae Waller; brother, Ferrald Waller, Jr.; special uncles, Herbert, William, and John L. Waller; stepmother, Maggie Hardy Waller; extended son, Steven Ruffin. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Johnson, Dr. Danish and the Genesys~Hurley Cancer Institute Nursing Staff.
