HOGG, Mr. Roosevelt, Jr. "Pie" - Age 62, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at his residence. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2 p.m. Bro. J.P. Broach officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Hogg will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Monday. Mr. Roosevelt Hogg, Jr. was born July 3, 1948 in Muskegon, Michigan the son of Roosevelt, Sr. and Annebelle Hogg. He was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School, "Class of 1966." "Pie" came to flint in 1968 and was employed for Buick, a division of General Motors and was a member of UAW Local 599. He enjoyed watching sports and doing yard work. "Pie" had a love for all of his grandchildren and neighbors. Mr. Roosevelt "Pie" Hogg, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife of 44 years, Pattie Hogg of Flint; daughter, Monica (Torrance) Howard of Grand Blanc, MI; 2 sons, Eric and Kenneth Hogg; grandchildren, Eric Hogg, Jr., Dominique Hogg, Jovonte Hogg, Frank Hogg, Brentni Franklin, Kokayi Webster, Kendra Hogg, Andrew Jackson, Aliyah Jamison, Torrance Howard, Jr., Nautica Howard, Rayshon Howard and Dae’Shaunae; great-grandchildren, Eri’onna Hogg; 3 sisters, Judy Anderson, Rosilie (Robert) Hunter, Lawanda Hogg all of Muskegon, MI; 5 nieces including, special niece, Felisha Daniels; 7 nephews; a host of great nieces and great nephews; aunt, Florence Hood of Muskegon, MI, 1 uncle; 2 sisters-in-law, Daisy (Marcellas) Boon of Flint and Beverly (Michael) Frederick of Inkster, MI; 3 brothers-in-law, Nathaniel Williamson, Dudley Williamson, both of Flint and Norman Williamson of Chesterfield, VA; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Kern Moton, Toni Johnson, Tommie Moody, LeMeah Johnson, Naquella and Bo Sam. Mr. Hogg was preceded in death by his parents Roosevelt, Sr. and Annabelle Hogg; brothers, Ronald and Donald Hogg; mother and father-in-law, Richlue and Mable Williamson; sisters-in-law, Roberta McKay; brothers-in-law, James Williamson and Bill Anderson and special friend, Susie "Lynn" Simbler. The family would like to express special thanks to all of the family and friends for all of the prayers, cards, calls and all other expressions of concern that was shown during this time of bereavement.
