GRAY, Mr. Robert Louis, Sr. - Age 52, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, G-6415 N. Clio Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Pastor Wallace Hill III, officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Gray will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Robert “Robin” Lewis Gray, Sr. was born October 20, 1957 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Odis Gray and the late Mattie Gray. “Robin” accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Damascus Holy Life Baptist Church. He attended Flint Public Schools, graduating from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1975”. “Robin” was formally employed at General Motors Corporation and was currently employed at Malace International. Robert was a great handyman and always had a smile on his face. He loved music, cooking and all sports. “Robin” loved spending time with his children and family. He was very much loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Mr. Robert “Robin” Lewis Gray, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, DeNisha N. Gray of Ellenwood, GA; son, Robert L. (Rasheeda) Gray, Jr. of Georgia; step-son, Doreace (Nicole) Martin of Flint; granddaughter, Laila Gray of Ellenwood, GA; father, Odis Gray of Flint; 5 sisters, Geneva (Rudy) Ward, Glenda (Otis) Alford, Beverly (Michael) Stutts, Debra Gray (Anthony Young), all of flint and Barbara (Quintin) Stokes of West Columbia, SC; 3 brothers, Odis (Sharon) Gray, Jr., Michael and Gregory Gray, Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Barbara Gaylor and the mother of his children, Rudy Holliday. Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Gray; and grandparents. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Wallace Hill III and the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church family and friends.
