COLEMAN, Mr. Robert Allen - Age 63, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at his residence. Family hour 11AM Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 317 E. Hamilton Ave., with funeral service commencing at 12Noon. Pastor Leroy Shelton officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Saturday. Mr. Coleman will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday (Family will be present during 6PM-8PM). Mr. Robert Allen Coleman, Jr. was born June 23, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Robert Sr. and Mattie Coleman. Robert was a resident of Flint, MI. He graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1962. Robert received a Bachelors and Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan University. He was employed for 31 years with the Flint Board of Education, where he thoroughly loved teaching, retiring in 1998. Leaving his mark on several students and teachers throughout his career. Robert had immense love for the outdoors. He enjoyed watching CSI, movies, especially John Wayne, hunting and fishing. More than anything he loved his family and getting together to cook and talk. His grandchildren were his joy. Robert was a Tall Pine Council Eagle Scout and a Black Belt in Karate. He had the most generous heart and enjoyed helping people. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Robert Allen Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Felicia (Perez) Coleman; 3 daughters, Ericka J. Coleman, Michelle R. Coleman and Christina N. (fiance' Mirackle McGlown) Coleman; son, Bryan A. Coleman; 7 grandchildren, Jene'a, Brandon, Arianna, Nevaeh, Leilani, Jalesia and Miracle; parents, Robert Allen Coleman, Sr. and Mattie Lee Coleman; 3 sisters, Bobbie, Laverne and Martha, all of Flint; 4 nieces; 4 nephews; 4 aunts; 2 uncles; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Lester F. Wells and Karen Drake. Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his former wife, Peggie (Davidson) Coleman; brothers-in-law, Arthur Bard and Wallace "Rudy" Bard. The family would like to express special thanks to Karen Drake, Mirackle McGlown, Henry Redman Jr., and Rhajah Weathers.
