CATHRON, Mr. Robert Charles - Age 56, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Timothy Hicks officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Cathron will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Robert Charles Cathron “Nicky” was born December 5, 1954 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Mable Robinson-Cathron. Nicky graduated from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1969.” He was employed with A.C. Spark Plug, a division of General Motors for 30 years until his retirement. In 2004, he moved to Texas where he took residence until his departure from this life. Nicky was a devoted husband of 20 years to the late Mrs. Patricia Ann Cathron and a devoted father who loved his family dearly. Nicky had a love for music; he enjoyed fishing, singing, playing the bongos and his harmonica. Mr. Robert Charles Cathron leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Tanisha (Timothy) Easton of Charleston, MO; 2 sons, Juwanza Ingram of Flint and Nicholas Cathron of Fort Worth, TX; 5 grandchildren, Danae`ya and De Avia Williams of Arlington, TX, Shakia Singleton, Laliah Ellies and Jaquetta Golden of Flint; 4 brothers, Bobby (Ruthann) Gray of Battle Creek, MI, Rocky (Gwendolyn) Elem, Cassanoby Cathron and Thomas Wright, all of Flint; 5 nieces; 6 nephews; 1 aunt; mother-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Jefferson; 8 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Denise “Mimi” Williams, Jerome (Lovie) Dotson and Joyce, all of Arlington, TX. Mr. Cathron was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Cathron; mother, Mrs. Mable Robinson-Cathron; sister, Helen Gray; niece, Toccara Jefferson; nephew, Dean Thomas, Jr.; special friend, K.C. Grear; and cousins, Walter Mosley, Larenzo and Elish Robinson.
