Mr. Robert Brown

BROWN, Mr. Robert - Age 64, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at Genesys Health Park. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with memorial service commencing at 11 a.m. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. There will be no public viewing. Mr. Robert Dale Brown “Bobby” was born May 23, 1949 in Flint, Michigan, the son of William L. Brown and Irene Hunter. He was a resident of Flint and attended Grammar School at Roosevelt, Junior High at Lowell and High School; he also attended Mott College. “Bobby” worked for Chevrolet Metal Fabricating Plant a division of General Motors and was a member of UAW Local 659. When he was younger, Robert enjoyed roller skating, ice skating, swimming and playing basketball, he was an excellent chess player. Robert enjoyed watching basketball and football on television. He also liked to fish and he was a good fisherman as well. Later in years he had a passion for the computer and he enjoyed the internet. Robert was a loving, caring person, quick-witted; with a great personality and a great smile. He will be missed by all that new him. Brown; 5 nieces, Sharica (Strong) Brown, Cynthia Edward, Marilyn (LaSalle) Chapman, Thelma (Larry) Watson, Shirley Davis; 4 nephews, Eugene (Jenny) Brown, Steven (Lakesha) Brown, Clifton (Alice) Blanding, Melvin (Tammy) Blanding, Antione Brown; uncle, JC Payton; 7 cousins, Nancy Clark, Alvin (Jessie) Brown, Nellie Brown, Mary Jackson, Patricia Brown, Harry (Beverly) Brown and James Brown; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by parents, William Leroy and Irene Henrietta Brown; grandparents, Mellie and Henry Hunter, Harry Brown; uncles, Alvin Brown, Victor Brown and Felton Jointer; aunts, Mable, Carry, Grace, Myrtle Brown and Vivian Wilson. The family would like to express special thanks to Genesys Regional Medical Center ICU and a sincere gratitude to all the staff.
