MOSLEY, Mrs. Regina Mary - Age 60, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Raybrook of Holand Homes, Grand Rapids, MI. Family hour 11:00 AM Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Foss Avenue Baptist Church, 1159 E. Foss Ave., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM. Pastor Mel Bedi, officiating, Pastor Reginald Flynn, Host Pastor. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Mosley will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday. Mrs. Regina Mary Mosley was born March 7, 1959 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Margaret (Kelly) Whitaker and Earnest Whitaker, residing in Flint until 2009, when Mrs. Mosley moved to the Metropolitan Detroit area until retiring; later moving to Grand Rapids, MI. Regina was united in marriage to Steven Mosley for 23 years. Regina was an avid researcher, hard worker and extremely intelligent woman. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology, her Masters Degree in Public Administration and received her PhD in Education in 2019. Regina was an advocate for students in higher education and was very passionate about helping them succeed. Regina worked in Financial Aid Services for 30 years at several institutions throughout Michigan including; the University of Michigan, Mott Community College and Schoolcraft Community College, where she retired from in 2018 as the Executive Director of Student Financial Aid Services. Regina enjoyed spending time with her family, adored her grandchildren, loved reading, shopping and traveling. She attended Foss Avenue Baptist Church during her time in Flint and Greater Grace Temple while in Detroit. Regina Mary Mosley leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Nichole (Edward) Caudle of Grand Rapids, MI and Stephanie Mosley of Nashville, TN; 1 son, Steven (Aubrey) Mosley II; grandchildren, Kiara Caudle, Kamia Caudle, both of Grand Rapids, MI, Liana Rodriguez, Mikiah Mosley, Akira Mosley, all of Lima, OH and Steven Mosley III of Livonia, MI; sisters, Gloria (John) Conley, Ernestine Kelelah Todd, Helen Carr, Erica Caldwell, Deborah Mosley and Melinda Mosley Anderson; brother, Jerome Brady of Columbus, OH; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special friends; Mother Chaney and the Chaney Family. Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by: parents, Margaret (Kelly) Whitaker and Earnest Whitaker; sister, Ethel Marie Whitaker; brother, Bradley Whitaker; and nephew, Christopher Michael Whitaker.
