Mr. Raymond Campbell

CAMPBELL, Mr. Raymond - Age 66, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. Family hour 11:00 AM Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Ebenezer Ministries 2130 S. Center Rd., Burton with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Family and pallbearers will assemble at church 11:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Campbell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM with family present to receive friends 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Mr. Raymond L. Campbell was born January 22,1950 in Pioneer, Louisiana, the son of Willie E. Williamson and Pauline Campbell. Raymond accepted Christ at an early age while attending New Bethany Baptist Church in Darnell, Louisiana; he graduated from Magnolia High School in Louisiana; after which he moved to Flint, Michigan, in 1968 where he attended Mott Community College. Mr. Raymond Campbell was employed by General Motors serving as a supervisor and retiring after 25 years of service. After retirement from GM, Raymond began a new career with Catholic Charities serving with the Mr. Rogers Program which was dear to his heart. He served with commitment and tireless love. Mr. Campbell married the love of his life, Lerlean Pratcher, in 1985. He was a member of Ebenezer Ministries, where he served as a mentor with the Save Our Sons program where he was instrumental in the lives of many youth. Mr. Raymond Campbell leaves to cherish his memory wife of 31 years, Lerlean; daughter, Kim; grandson, Chris; granddaughter, Makayla; 2 great-grandchildren; special mother, Mrs. Ruby Williamson of Alton, IL; 3 sisters, Ruth (Julius) Horton of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Diane (Melvin) Fletcher and Gilda Hartwell all of Las Vegas, NV; 6 brothers, Danny (Deborah) Williamson of Alton, IL, Donald Hartwell of Las Vegas, NV, Teddie (Tonya) Hartwell of Palm Springs, CA, Michael Hartwell of Las Vegas, NV, Gregory and Jeffrey Taylor, both of Reno, NV; 7 sisters-in-law, Janet Parker of Texas, Shirley (Larry) Hardaway and Billie White all of Memphis, TN; Joyce Benton of Flint, MI; Patsy White of Jackson, MS and Vanessa (Donald, special brother-in-law) Redmond of Horn Lake, MS; special aunt, Mattie Hamilton of Reno, NV and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents; grand parents and sister, Donna Kay.
