HOLMES, Mr. Rashamere Jamawi Tryiq - Age 22, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, January 6, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will assemble at the chapel 1:30 PM Saturday. Mr. Holmes will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed Friday, January 5, 2024 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Mr. Rashamere Jamani Tryiq Holmes was born February 28, 2001 in Fint, Michigan, the son of Sheneen Lacole Jones and Yashic Karondos Holmes. Rashamere was a loving guy who loved everyone. He enjoyed playing sports and watching football with his mother. Rashi attended all Flint Schools including New Standard and Flint Northwestern. In his spare time he loved to cook and eat (fat boy). Rashi also loved spending time with his family and making everyone laugh. He was full of life and enjoyment and was always willing to help someone in need. Mr. Rashamere Jamani Tryiq Holmes leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, London Nicole Stutts; son, Legend Anthony George Stutts; parents, Sheneen Lacole Jones and Yashic Karondus Holmes; step-father, Dale Reed; grandfather, Leryo Checotak of Oklahoma; 4 sisters, Shatari Reed, Yasminae Holmes, Yashiona Holmes and Yuriell Boseman, all of Flint; brother, Miquel Boseman; 3 nieces, NyAire Lenior, ZyAire Lenior and My’Angel Lenior, all of Flint; 8 aunts, Lashada Clayton-Bey, Quansheila Jones, Virginia Ward, Vaness Crayton, all of Flint, Mattie Andrews and Lucrecia Davis, both of Mt. Morris, MI and Angeline (Charlie) Boone of Plainfield, NJ; 5 uncles, Maurice and Charles Jones, both of Flint, Josiah Holmes of Washington, DC, Greg Holmes of Fort Smith, AR and Jessie (Jean) Andrews of Grand Blanc, MI; a host of cousins including special cousins, Torrie Anderson and Jequandra Jones, both of Denton, TX, Deandre “Lil Man” Jones, Barry Blassingame, Tommy “Taz” Tasley, all of Flint, Tomika Tedford, VonRoyce Smith, both of Texas and Camille Smithall of California; a host of other relatives and friends including, god-parents, Toni (Sean) Hairston whom he loved dearly; god-sister, Kendra Hairston; best friends, Cedric Hendrickson and Bobby Savage; and special barber, Melvin Steele. Mr. Holmes was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Portia Nolen and Deborah Holmes; aunts, Toyanna Jones, Ramona Route, Priscilla (Ngewna) Holmes and Rita Jones; uncle, Antony Holmes; great-uncle, Robert Jones III; special cousins, Chequitta Savage, Timothy Anderson, Spencer Smith, David Adams and Utesha Taylor.
