Mrs. Rachel Ann Stearns

STEARNS, Mrs. Rachel - Age 43, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at her residence. Family hour 1:30 PM Thursday, March 24, 2022, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Thursday. Mrs. Stearns will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Ms. Rachel Ann Stearns was born June 26, 1978 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of David Habbershaw and Judy Washburn. Rachel moved at the age of 4 to Red Bluff, CA where she attended Bidwell Elementary School. At the age of 16, she came back to Michigan and attended Davison High School. Her favorite thigs to do were to spend her time with her children and grandkids. Rachel was smart, caring, strong willed, a shoulder to cry on and so much more. Ms. Rachel Ann Stearns leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Brittany Hernandez of Burton, MI and Joslynn Joseph of Flint; son, Ryan Stearns Jr. of Traverse City, MI; grandchildren, Drake Silva of Flint, DeShannon Grant III, Deontae Grant and Jamal DuBois-Grant, both of Burton, MI; grandparents, Patricia and Lyle Habbershaw, Carrol and Gloria Washburn; sister, Sherry Stango of Red Bluff, CA; brother, Ricky Stango of Tacoma, WA; 2 nieces, Ashley (Patrick) Randolph of Chico, CA and Mariah Lemmon of Red Bluff, CA; 2 nephews, Jonathan Dean-Stango of Redding, CA and Richard Stango of Red Bluff, CA; 2 aunts, Cheryl Burrows of Davison, MI and Terry Washburn of Reno, CA; 3 uncles, Daryl Habbershaw of Winter Haven, FL, Kim Washburn and Tony (Roxann) Washburn; a host of cousins including, Erica and Donny Pease, Shorty “Brandon” Washburn, all of Flint and Charleen Webb Bradly; a host of other relatives and friends including, Sandra Webb of Flint, Gina Carriero of Metamora, MI, Amy Jacko, Sierra Washburn, both of Flint, Em Burris of Davison, MI, Becky Ziembo, Brandy Phillips an Dan McCarthey. Ms. Stearns was preceded in death by her daughter, LeAnn Stearns; parents, David Habbershaw and Judy Washburn; aunts, Barbara Webb and Susan Smith; uncle, Paul Washburn.
