Mr. Quintin Phillip Edelen

EDELEN, Mr. Quintin P. - Age 23, passed away, Tuesday October 17, 2017. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, November 3, 2017 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 1:30 PM Friday. Mr. Edelen will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-8:00 PM Thursday. Quintin Phillip Edelen was born on January 9, 1994 in Flint, MI. He attended Flint Community Schools. While in high school, he was a proud member of the JROTC. In 2012, he graduated from Northwestern High School. Quintin received his Professional Painter's certification from Job Corps located in Flint. He studied Auto Mechanics at Baker and Mott Community College. Quintin had registered to attend Lansing Community College in Spring 2018 to complete his degree. He was employed at GDI Integrated Facility Services. Quintin was a beautiful, hard working man who lived life to the fullest. His warm smile would make ANYONE smile back at him. He loved spending time with family and friends. Besides working on cars, he enjoyed cooking and taking long walks. Mr. Edelen leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Lucille Robinson-Edelen of Lansing, MI and Edward Angelo Edelen of Flint; daughter, Savannah Maria Thomas-Edelen of Flint; girlfriend, Alexiss Thomas of Flint; siblings, Edward Angelo (Stephanie) Edelen II of Muskegon Heights, MI, Angelicia Mary Edelen of Lansing, MI, Anthony Washington, Tamicka Norris, Roderick James, James Roderick and Palace Edelen of Flint; nephews, Elijah Edelen of Muskegon Heights, MI and Agori Ejoh of Lansing, MI; grandmother, Mary Edelen of Flint and a host of other relatives and friends. Quintin was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Beaulah Robinson, Edward Phillip Walker and James Edelen; great-grandmother, Ruth Prater. The family would like to express special thanks to JaVonda Montgomery, GDI Integrated Facility Services, Covenant Hospital, Saginaw Police Department, Detective Jeff Kruska, Church of The Brethren, Brian Woods and family members Rosa Lee Robinson, Maranda Delaney, and Tamicka Norris.
