Mr. Quetez "Cooter" Ponell Quinn

QUINN, Mr. Quetez Ponell "Cooter" - Age 38, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021. Family hour 10:00 AM Thursday, August 5, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Thursday. Mr. Quinn will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Mr. Quetez Ponell Quinn “Cooter” was born December 2, 1982 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Patricia Quinn and Terry Hollis. Quetez was also raised by Mr. Sam & Regina McGaughy and Deatrius Burks at a early age of his life. He played basketball and football at Holmes Middle School and went on to play basketball at Flint Northwestern High School. When Quetez became a father it changed his whole life. He loved his children more than anything. Quetez also wanted to make sure that they had the best life that he could give them. He always dreamed and spoke about opening up his own business to have something to pass down to his children. That dream became a reality when he opened “Sir Qs”. Mr. Quetez Ponell Quinn leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Nevaeh Quinn; son, Quetez “CJ” Quinn Jr.; mother, Patricia Quinn, all of Flint; father, Terry Hollis of Oklahoma; grandmother, Mary Thomas of Chapel Hill, NC; 5 sisters, LaKisha Quinn, Heidi “Nichole” Quinn, both of Charlotte, NC, Terri Jean Ivory of Flint, Lakisha Hollis and Brianna Cotter, both of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 brothers, Terrance “Terry” Reyes and Tyrone Reyes; 6 aunts including, Darlene (Ray) Thomas Jamison; 6 uncles including, Sam (Judy) Hollis, all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including close friends, Pip, Wan, Trell, E Baller, Tip Toe, Manie, Jason and Poppa. Mr. Quinn was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Idella Hollis; brother, Jimmie Lee Reed Jr.; best friend, Boonk; and a host of cousins.
