JORDAN, Mr. Quantray D. - Age 20, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Eld. Veotis Jones officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Monday. Mr. Jordan will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Quantray DeQuinn Jordan affectionately known as “Quan” was born March 12, 1990 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Sherry Powell and Tracey Jordan. “Quan” was a lifelong resident of Flint, Michigan and often attended the Church of Christ. “Quan” attended Garfield Elementary and Northwestern Edison. He recently received his GED from Carman-Ainsworth Alternative School April 2010. “Quan” enjoyed cooking, playing video games and spending loving and quality time with the apples of his eyes his two beautiful daughters. His kind heart was an inspiration to his family and friends. “Quan” lived his life with integrity, love of himself and for others. He leaves to continue his legacy of integrity and love: 2 daughters, Missy Nevaeh and Ar’Triya Jordan; parents, Sherry Powell and Tracey Jordan; grandparents, Mrs. Hester Powell, Mrs. Barbara Jordan and Mr. Clarence Bingham; sister, Missy Chesley Fairhurst, all of Flint; 4 aunts, Sharon (Sam) Pickins of Clio, MI, Toni (Bill) Johnson of Beatrice, AL, Connie (Brian) Russell of Grand Blanc, MI and Sandra (Ron) Andrew of Aurora, CO; 7 uncles, Sammie L. (Brenda) Jordan of Grand Blanc, MI, Mark (Elaine) Jordan of Killeen, TX, Michael Jordan of Arlington, TX, Derrick (Andrea) Jordan, Gregory Jordan, Michael Powell, Sr., and Master Gene A. Powell, Jr., all of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friend, Johnnie Heneerson. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his grandfather; great-grandparents; and best friend, MarQuan Hinkle. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Hurley Medical Center ER and 5th floor ICU, Bishop Odis A. Floyd and the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church family, the Garrison and Green families, Ms. Ronisha Moore, Trisha Johnson and Laurene Street families.
