Mrs. Pinnie Brenda Ramsey

RAMSEY, Mrs. Pinnie Brenda - age 75, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Michael Rouse officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Ramsey will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral home, and may be viewed from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday with family present 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to receive friends. Mrs. Pinnie Brenda Ramsey was born July 14, 1940 in Proctorville, North Carolina, the daughter of Johnny and Pinnie Pittman. She was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. Pinnie earned a Bachelors’ Degree from Detroit College of Business (Davenport University). She was a member of Rock of Asia Church and the Red Hat Granny’s of Mount Morris, MI. Pinnie enjoyed praising the Lord, working in her church, shopping and traveling. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. Pinnie had a good sense of humor and loved telling people about Jesus. Mrs. Pinnie Brenda Ramsey leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Veronica Ramsey; three sons, Lorenzo (Lorraine) Ramsey, all of Flint, Dietrich (Paula) Ramsey of Clarksville, TN and Donlin (Kendra) Ramsey of Lansing, MI; grandchildren, Kerry (Bethanny) Ramsey of Grand Blanc, MI, Regina Taylor of Oklahoma City, OK, Roderick Ramsey, Ronita Ramsey, Antonio Williams, Rashan Ramsey, all of Flint, and Rayvon Ramsey of Oklahoma City, OK, Erin Ramsey of Farmington Hills, MI, Brittany (Michael) Walker of Lawton, OK, Brandy Ramsey and Brianna Ramsey, both of Clarksville, TN, Judith Ramsey, Donlin J.H. Ramsey, Dahlia Ramsey and Joseph Ramsey, all of Lansing, MI and Sa-Tanisha Ramsey of West Virginia; and a host of great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lummie P. Watts and F. Rose Pittman; brother, Wisdom A. Pittman, Sr., all of Flint; cousins, Alexander (Dorothy) Campbell of Mt. Morris, MI, Betty Davis of New Jersey, and Rev. Nevalon (Kay) Mitchell of Bowie, MD; a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Ramsey was preceded in death by former husband, Henry Ramsey; parents, Johnny and Pinnie Pittman; sister, Pearl Harden; mother and father-in-law, Willie and Sallie Mae Ramsey; grandparents; and nephew. The family would like to express special thanks to Granny’s Place and Ms. Dorothy Leonard for the care and compassion shown towards our loved one, and Rock of Asia Church family.
