REAVES, Mr. Philip Eliot, Jr. - Age 31, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30PM Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2PM. Rev. Floyd Fuller officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Wednesday. Mr. Reaves will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1PM-8PM Tuesday. Philip Eliot Reaves, Jr. was born August 22, 1976 in Flint, the son of Philip E. Reaves, Sr. and TokSun "Lisa" Reaves. Philip lived in Flint the majority of his life. He loved to perform and write his music. Philip was a wonderful father to his children and a loving brother and son. He was well liked by all that knew him and he was loved by his family. Philip attended the Flint Public Schools. Philip leaves to cherish his memory: mother of his children, Quatise Hendrix; 2 daughters, Makiya D. Reaves and Amiya L. Reaves both of Flint; parents, Philip Eliot Reaves, Sr. and TokSun "Lisa" Reaves; grandparents, Alfred and LaJoyce Reaves; 2 sisters, Schnell M. Reaves of Mt. Morris and Monica L. Reaves of Flint; brother and best friend, Erick I. Reaves; 5 nieces, Bianca S. and Mariah M. Boose, Ameya M. Reaves, Arianna Williams and Baby Girl Reaves; special nephew, Marcus A. Reaves; 2 aunts, Joya (Marty) Reaves-Embry of Flint, aunt in Pusan, Korea; 2 uncles, Kevin Reaves of Flushing, Blake (Leslie) Reaves of NC; a host of cousins; ex-father-in-law, Lewis Spears; ex-sister-in-law and close friend, Quadreka Hendrix; ex-brother-in-law, Quinn Hendrix; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, the Derricks and Hendrix families; McLaurin family, Ghetto Thugs family a host of friends and people that knew him. Philip was preceded in death by uncles, Scott Chaney of Detroit, Cherick "Ricky" Reaves of Flint; mother-in-law, FiFi Hendrix. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Floyd Fuller of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church and all that have sent prayers and love.
