RICHARDSON, Mr. Percy - age 63, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Heartland Health Care Center-Fostrian-Flushing, MI. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Elder Dion Richardson officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Richardson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Percy Richardson aka “Billy” was born November 12, 1950 in Tribbett, Mississippi, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Howard and Mary (Wallace) Richardson. He moved to Flint, Michigan at the age of 18 years old. Percy was employ as a Production Worker and Buick Motors, a division of General Motors for over 20 years and was a member of UAW Local #599. He enjoyed life to the fullest, watching sports with his friends and family. Percy also enjoyed cooking soul food; one of his many favorite dishes was “Beans.” It was just one kind either, he loved all types of beans! He was a friendly, loving, caring and genuine person (as his niece, Brittany describes her Uncle). Percy loved his family and if you portrayed an inkling of having a good heart, he would include you as his family too. Mr. Percy Richardson leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Renee (Trentice) Terry; 2 sons, Percy Cummings and Terry Richardson; 13 grandchildren, Gabrielle Cummings, Percy Cummings, Jr., Jamal Cummings, Omar Cummings, Tywan Terry, Trentice Terry, Breona Terry, Trenea Terry, Ravon Terry, Antonia Jefferson, Zena Ward, Aniya Taylor and Antwan Taylor; 2 brothers, Paul Richardson, all of Flint and Emmett (Pricilla) Richardson of Toledo, OH; 3 sisters-in-law, Odess Richardson of St. Louis, MO, Ruby Richardson of Sacramento, CA and Bessie Lee Richardson of Greenville, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his daughter, Antoinette “Tawanna” Cummings; parents, Howard and Mary (Wallace) Richardson; 2 sisters, Chloe T. Gibson of Flint and Mary V. Lee of Tribbett, MS; 4 brothers, Willie Robinson of Flint, Robert “RT” Taylor Richardson of Greenville, MS, Charles “Bo” of St. Louis, MO and James “Skeet” Richardson of Sacramento, CA.
