Pearlean Kahee

KAHEE, Mrs. Pearlean - Age 69, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 at her residence. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 317 E. Hamilton Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Dr. Mark A. Jones, Sr., officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Kahee will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Friday with family present from 5-7 p.m. Mrs. Pearlean Kahee was born November 29, 1940 in Covington, Tennessee, the daughter of Christopher and Lucille Burrell. Pearlean was a resident of Flint and a member of Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Beecher High School. Pearlean retired from McLaren Regional Medical Center with 40 years of service. She enjoyed shopping, sewing, baking homemade cakes and spending time entertaining family and friends daily. Pearlean never met a stranger. Her motto was “If you can’t do it right, don’t do it at all.” She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Edward Kahee; daughter, Robbie (Elder James) Washington; son, Shelby (Rita) Burrell; 4 grandchildren, Dominique Q. Washington, DeMonta E. Washington, Winton Burrell and Whitney M. Burrell; 3 sisters, Lillie Dyson, Katherine (Thomas) Bernard and Mary Agnes (Charles) Morris; 2 brothers, Walter (Beverly) Burrell and Thomas Burrell; brother-in-law, Clifford (Florence) Kahee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Kahee was preceded in death by her 2 daughters, Arbella Ann Elam and Arbedella Elam; parents, C.C. and Lucille Burrell; sister, Vera Brown; and brother, William Burrell. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Mark A. Jones, Sr. and the Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church family, Pastor Lewis Randolph and the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church family, McLaren Regional Medical Center 5th floor ICU,, Dr. Katneni, Dr. Preditaneau and all friends for their support during this time of transition.
