HENDERSON, Mr. Paul Samuel - Age 64, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 10AM Saturday, April 22, 2006 at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Eld. Kenneth L. Stewart officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Saturday. Mr. Henderson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mr. Paul Samuel Henderson was born December 6, 1941 in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Sidney and Idalia Henderson. He graduated from Flint Northern High School, "Class of 1961". Paul was a resident of Flushing, MI and a member of the House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church in Flint, where he served as a former member of the Mass choir and the Men's choir until his health began to fail. In 1991, he retired after 32 years of service from A.C. Spark Plug-Rochester, a division of General Motors Corporation and was a member of UAW Local 651. On June 2, 2004, Paul and Norma Jean Vanzant were united in Holy Matrimony at Genesys Regional Medical Center, located in Grand Blanc, MI. Paul loved the Lord and singing, and will especially be remembered for his wonderful (tenor) voice. Mr. Paul Samuel Henderson leaves to cherish his memory and retell his stories: loving wife, Norma Jean Henderson of Flushing, MI; 3 sisters, Judith Ann Henderson of Flint, Doris Ray and Yvonne Brown of Chicago, IL; brother, Floyd L. Henderson (Fiancee, Charleszetta Rolack) of Minneapolis, MN; 4 nieces, Angela M. Whitfield, Selena Misner, Kennedith L. Conway, all of Flint and Taylour C. Smith of Jacksonville, FL; 5 nephews, Scott Henderson of Minneapolis, MN, Allen and Jermaine Clark both of NY, Michael Ray Misner, Jr. of Flint, and Garnett J. Ratliff; 3 sisters-in-law, Barbara A. Ratliff of Flint, Edith (Oliver) Cooper-Lewis of Flint, MI, and Jill Lynn (Antonio A.) Smith of Jacksonville, FL; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Idalia Henderson; aunt, Alberta Upshaw; father and mother-in-law, Thomas H. and Lula M. Neal; and sister-in-law, Susan Henderson.
