Pattie Clark

CLARK, Ms. Pattie Maranda - Age 63, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her residence. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Grace Cathedral Community Church, 1709 Nebraska St. Pastor Kelly Richards officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the church 1 p.m. Tuesday. Ms. Clark will lie in state in the Sanctuary of Grace Cathedral Community Church. Ms. Pattie Maranda Clark was born September 22, 1947 in Dinwiddie, Virginia, the daughter of Gloster and Maranda (Edmondson) Malone. Pattie relocated to Flint, Michigan as a teenager, where she finished her high school education at Northern High School. Pattie loved traveling and beautifying her yard and flowers. Although, Pattie was quiet, her loving smile brought joy and peace to everyone who encountered her loving spirit. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. Pattie was a retiree of the V-8 Engine Plant a division of General Motors and was a member of UAW Local 659. She was a faithful member of Grace Cathedral Community Church, where she loved to serve in many ministries; including Saturday Prayer as a faithful Pray Warrior, Bible Study, Hospitality, Youth Praise Dancers and Housekeeping, just to name a few. Ms. Pattie M. Clark leaves to cherish her memories: 2 daughters, Monica Clark of Concord, NC and Sheri Clark of Ypsilanti, MI; 3 grandchildren, Antwan Clark and Ashley Clark, both of Concord, NC and Lamar Minor of Atlanta, GA; 3 sisters, Carrie Hamlett of Flint, Emma Evans of Petersburg, VA and Ruth Harris of Ford, VA; brother, Archie Malone of McKinney, VA; mother and father-in-law, William and Mamie Holden; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Alice Britt, Carol Love and Essie Strozier. Ms. Clark was preceded in death by her parents, Gloster and Maranda Malone; sister, Thresa Malone Harris; 4 brothers, Benny Harry, Percell, Webster and Robert Malone. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Kelly Richards and the Grace Cathedral Community Church Family, Dr. Danish, and the Genesys and Hurley Cancer Center, Anetta Cooper, Sis. Zetta Swanigan and her niece, Patricia Hamlett.
