TOLBERT, Mrs. Patricia Ann - Age 65, passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at McLaren-Flint. Mrs. Tolbert will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Tuesday, April 28, 2020 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Mrs. Patricia Ann Tolbert was born January 19, 1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Luke King and Claretha “Polly” Evans. Patricia was a resident of Flint, Michigan of 63 years. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist church where she served as an Usher and one the Head Cooks in the Kitchen Dept. Patricia loved casino trips and dancing. But most of all she enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and caring for her “Big Daddy.” Everyone in Flint knew that her love more than love itself, was playing her lottery # “729” and her one and only son, “Lil Mike”. Patricia lived for her children, but it was something about her son, didn’t take much to make her happy. She just loved people, that’s what kept that beautiful smile on her face. We hope heaven has a lottery machine and a little “soul heaven.” Mrs. Patricia Ann Tolbert leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Mr. Bruce Tolbert of Flint; 3 daughters, Lisa King, Chevela (Darryl) Horton and Mrytel Carter; sons, Michael Carter Jr.; daughter/niece, Helen Carter; grandchildren, Marquice (Lymia) Finley, Keyonna Green, Tysheda Green, Kevin Poole Jr., Kiara Tiggs, Kalin Parker, Mason Clark, McKenzie Clark, Michael Carter III and Jaylen Bradley, all of Flint; great-grandchildren, Marquice, Jacquice, Marquisha, Mutizuade, Mo’rayah Finley, Londyn Harris, Kyliee Tiggs and Alannah Clark; 2 sisters, Gloria Banks and Suzette “Penny” Hawkins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins including the Mays family of Little Rock, AR and many more in Flint; special sister-in-law, Kiesha Tolbert and the Tolbert and Carter families; god-daughter, Gloria Benton-Williams; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Gloria Banks, Mother Sally Lee, childhood friend, Coco and casino buddy, Pearley Ellison. Mrs. Tolbert was preceded in death by her parents, Luke King and Claretha “Polly” Evans; brother, Thomas McCree; Sandra Bolden, Willie Mae Bolden, Matt and Zenola Tolbert. The family would like to express special thanks to the Hayes family, Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church family, Minister Kevin Poole Sr., McLaren-Flint and staff, and not only was she her doctor but her friend, Dr. Greeta Rode MD.
