THOMPSON, Ms. Patricia Ann - Age 58, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 3PM Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Agape Faith Fellowship, 8121 Dixie Hwy., Birch Run, MI, 48415, Pastor Joseph Rodriquez officiating. Interment Oaklawn Cemetery, Charlotte, NC. Family and friends will assemble at the church 3PM Saturday. Ms. Thompson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 3PM-8PM Friday. Ms. Patricia Ann Thompson was born March 6, 1950 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the daughter of Mamie and Curtis Thompson, Sr. She was a resident of Flint and was affiliated with the following churches, University Park Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC, Christ the King Baptist Church, Milwaukee, WI, Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church, Flint, MI and Agape Faith Fellowship Birch Run, MI. Patricia received her early education through the Public Schools of Charlotte, Mecklenburg and graduated in 1968 from West Charlotte High School, Charlotte, NC. She was an honor student throughout life and a member of the National Honors Society. Patricia furthered her education at A & T State University, Greensboro, NC where she was Miss A & T State University in 1972. She majored in Business Administration and remained on several campus organizations including Business Club, Tau Phi Theta Sorority, and Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities. She was employed at Delphi Corporation formally known as AC Spark Plug, a division of General Motors in Flint, where she worked as a Sr. Quality Engineer and Sr. Labor Relations Representative. Patricia retired from Delphi in 2005 after 33 years of service. She was an Entrepreneur/Owner/Head Chef of Sunday Dinners LLC established in February of 2008. Pat was a scholar of the Word; she graduated from Agape Faith Fellowship Bible Training Center in Birch Run, MI and received her Masters Degree in Biblical Theology from Maranatha Bible School in Lansing, MN. She also enjoyed leisure reading and swimming in her spare time. Pat touched the lives of everyone she came into contact with. She was an extremely giving and caring person with a spirit of excellence in all her pursuits. Pat had a vibrant personality with a genuine sense of humor; no one can forget her infectious laugh. She had a entrepreneurial spirit, and a vision that was executed to fruition. Pat was a beautiful, outstanding mother and grandmother, whom exuded love and care in all her interactions with others. She never wavered from her faith and principles. Pat always talked about Agape love and practiced it. Ms. Patricia Ann Thompson leaves to cherish her memory: son, Anthony Crespo; 2 daughters, Kelli Crespo and Keesha Crespo; granddaughter, Lydia Dover all of Flint; father of her children, Ruben Crespo of San Juan, PR; sisters, Angela (David) Alexander of Atlanta, GA, Gay (Walter) Terry of Flushing, MI; brother, Curtis Thompson of Grand Blanc; nephews, David Alexander, II and Kirk Alexander of both of Atlanta, GA, Michael (Charla) Terry of Milwaukee, WI; nieces, Joy Terry of Hampton, VA and Imoni Terry of Plainfield, NJ; godson, Quentin Thigpen of Milwaukee, WI; godsister, Margaret Thigpen of Milwaukee, WI; special friends, Pastor John and Marilyn McVicker, Sharron Jewell and Jennie Dorsey of Milwaukee, WI; a host of other relatives, friends and coworkers. Ms. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis & Mamie Thompson, Sr. The family wishes to express special thanks to Pastor Joseph Rodriguez and the Agape Faith Fellowship Church Family.
