Mrs. Patricia Ann Marshall

MARSHALL, Mrs. Patricia Ann - Age 76, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in Las Vegas, NV. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home,906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Family and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Saturday. Mrs. Marshall will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2023. Mrs. Patricia Ann Marshall “Pat” was born April 17th, 1946 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Otis Jr. and Naomi Raglon. Pat was a graduate of Flint Central High School, “Class of 1964.” She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age while attending Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev Robert Turpin. After graduation Pat joined the United States Army. Upon returning home she worked for Michigan Bell as an Operator for years. Pat married the love of her life Mr. Rodger Marshall in June of 1978, and they were together for 42 years. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother to her children, Sherman Raglon, Lori Mayo, and Larry Smith. Pat was employed at Flint Delphi, a division of General Motors Corporation for over 25 years until her retirement in 2006. She was a member of UAW Local #651. Pat loved to travel especially with her friends the Michigan Traveling Divas. She also loved to visit family and attend family events whether near or far “I’m the Matriarch of the family, so my presence is necessary” was her motto. Pat was also known as the card lady and she would send you a card for every occasion and holiday. Her cards brought a smile to our faces, and they will be greatly missed. Pat enjoyed cooking and her deviled eggs and spaghetti were often requested or she would just bring them always right on time. She also enjoyed bowling, watching game shows, playing cards, and shopping. Pat was a faithful member of Mt Olive Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years. She served on the Usher Board Ministry, the Culinary Ministry, and presented the weekly announcements for many years. Mrs. Patricia Marshall leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Lori Mayo of Henderson, Nevada; two sons, Sherman Raglon of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Larry (Kelly) Smith of Wichita, Kansas; brothers, Marvin Raglon of St. Joseph, Michigan and Milton (Bernice) Raglon of Flint, Michigan; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Lawrence) Bowman of Greenville, Kentucky, and Jean Marshall of Flint, Emma Sutton of Cary, North Carolina; four grandsons, Leighton Raglon of the United States Navy, Tony (Kenzie), Desmond, and Phoenix Smith; four great-grandchildren; uncle, Charles Muldrew; god-daughters, Lora Leniear-Cook and Cheri Leniear; godsons, Jaron Miles, Jamar Miles, and Geary Simon; god-mother, Annie Dabbs of Melbourne, Florida; life-long friends, Margie Miles of Inglewood, California, Cheryl Price-Dickerson, Rosemary Moore, both of Flint, Michigan, Robert (Eva) Leniear of Detroit, Michigan; special friends, Lillie Russell, Cherokee Davis, Glenna Davis, Deloris Porter, Ayana Walls, and the Michigan Traveling Divas, Rev. Dr. Major Stewart and special niece, Debra Jones. Pat was loved by a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodger Marshall; parents, Otis Jr. and Naomi Raglon; five sisters, Sara Nichols, Mary Washington, Brenda Franklin, Ruby and Lois Raglon; brother, Andrew Raglon; sister-in-law, Barbara Raglon; brothers-in-law, James Washington, Sinclair Nichols, Fred Marshall, and Milton Sutton; special aunt, Nina Miller. The family would like to express special thanks to Cherokee Davis, Milton & Bernice Raglon, Sheila Graham, Lillie Russell, Aileen Louis, Delois Porter, Carolyn Butler, Mt. Olive Baptist Church family and all her neighbors. Pat had a loving, outgoing, and amusing personality. She loved her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
