JOHNSON, Ms. Patricia Ann - Age 70, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Monday, November 19, 2018 at New Creation Church of God, G-3472 Lennon Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Herbert L. Banks, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Monday. Ms. Johnson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10AM -6:00 PM Sunday.Patricia Ann Johnson was born March 30, 1948 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the daughter of the late William M. and Dorothy Jones. She attended school and earned her diploma from Flint Northwestern High School in Flint, Michigan where she was a resident most of her life. Patricia peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the age of 70 years old. Sister Pat accepted Christ as her Savior and became a dedicated servant of God. While attending the New Creation Church of God in Flint, she served in the church’s kitchen and was a member of the Choir. She loved decorating the church for various events and participated in the church’s Outreach activities. Pat was proud to be employed by General Motors for 30 years at which time she gladly retired! In her spare time, she loved to watch TV shopping channels and creating arts and craft projects, some of which she donated to the church’s bazaars. Pat had a special attraction to butterflies and often used them in her arts and crafts designs. The next time you see a butterfly think of her. Today some of us are wearing blue, that was her favorite color. Having had hopes of pursuing a modeling career earlier in her life, Pat maintained a love for fashion and jewelry. You would often see Sister Pat with her hair and long nails looking as if she had just left the salon. She enjoyed helping others and spending time with her family. Patricia was: beloved mother to daughter, Yvette Denise Johnson of Lawrenceville, GA; sons, Andre Deshawn (Brenda) Johnson of Lilburn, GA and Shawn Maurice Johnson of Flint; caring grandmother to, Dominique A. Johnson of Lithonia, GA, the late Doniesha L. Malone, Patrick Johnson of Flint, Patria Le’Anna Johnson of Trenton, MI, La’Asia R. Johnson and Jene’a S.B. Johnson, both of Flint, Ronika D. and Brioni Y. Spates, both of Lawrenceville, GA, Shawn M. Johnson Jr. and Mariah L. Hodo-Johnson, both of Flint, and Demetrius Lowery of Lilburn, Ga; an obedient daughter to, the late William and Dorothy Jones of Flint; a nurturing sister to, Henry E. (Everlena) Jones, Dwayne L. (Sylvia) Jones, Deborah A. Jones and sister-in-law to, Peggy Blair of Flint; a doting aunt to, Jamon Sr. (Sakena) and Samon Mahan of LaGrange, GA, Victoria and VaShari Jones, Jashayla Shelton, all of Kansas City, MO, Crystal (Terrance), Liam and Lillian Hughes, both of Athens, GA, Roderick Jones, Aaron and Trinity May, Scypion Pleasant, all of Flint, Jamon Jr. and Zaiden Mahan, both of Orlando, FL; loving niece to, Virginia Sloan and Harry Carr; sweet cousin to, Irene Gibson and Denise Harell, all of Charlotte, NC. Sister Pat will be missed by a host of other loving relatives and friends including special friends, Koni Branch, Vernita “Cookie” Scott, Debbie Taylor and church sister, Georgia Pearson, all of Flint. Patricia was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Doniesha L. Malone; father, William M. Jones; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Jones. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Dr. & Mrs. Banks and the New Creation Church of God family, the Kindred Hospice Team for the support and care for our Mother and family during this time.
