HORTON, Ms. Patricia - Age 63, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at her residence. Family hour 1:30 PM Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Pastor Robert Allen, officiating. interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Road. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Wednesday. Public viewing will be during family hour only. Mrs. Patricia Ann Horton “Patty” was born February 20, 1960 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Alvin Sr. and Annie Mae (Flowers) Horton. Patricia was the 8th child of 11 children. She was a lifelong resident of Flint and attended Michigan School for the Death. Patricia also attended Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She was a cheerleader, played volleyball and loved to dance. Patricia was down to earth and loved by many everywhere she went. To be a deaf person, she was unstoppable. Patricia loved living life and traveling with her partner of 40+ years, Clark Martin and god-son, Woody. Patty did not have any children, however her nephew, Darius was the one she called her own. Mrs. Patricia Ann Horton “Patty” leaves to cherish her memory: 2 brothers, Anthony R. Horton and Preston Frank; 4 sisters, Bobbie Jean Kyles, Rilla M. Horton, Tracie L. Horton, all of Flint and Sheila M. Brown of Euless, TX; 13 nieces; 9 nephews including special nephew, Darius (Myeeah) Brown; aunt, Betty Kyles of Bolton, MS; lifelong partner, Clark Martin whom she loved dearly of Hale, MI; a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Sr. and Annie Mae (Flowers) Horton; grandparents, Percy and Cornelia Flowers, Matthew Horton and Mary Baity; 2 brothers, Alvin Horton Jr. and Thomas Matthew Horton; 2 sister, Annie Pearl Johnson and Gloria Jean Horton.
