HARRIS, Ms. Patricia Darlene - Age 47, passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Tuesday, May 5, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM, Bishop Raymond Dunlap officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Tuesday. Ms. Harris will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Ms. Patricia D. Harris was born February 19, 1962 in Flint, Michigan to Abe Carter and Mr. & Mrs. Robert and Nettie V. Harris. At an early age Pat became a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. J.C. Curry, Pastor. Pat was affiliated with a number of churches throughout her life always trusting in God. The most important part of her life was her children, whom she loved most. Pat was an avid reader and was always surrounded by books. She also had a love for animals especially cats. Ms. Patricia D. Harris leaves in God’s care: 3 children, daughters, Jade V. Harris and Yasmine Harris; son, Jamil Loisell, all of Flint; 2 brothers, Gregory (Beverly A.) Harris of Detroit, MI and Christopher (Alcia) Carter of Palmdale, CA; sister, Pam Saunders of Rancho Cucumonga, CA; nieces, Chrystal Eleanor, Jo-Al Christine and Love Zariah Carter all of Palmdale, CA; nephews, Gregory Harris II and Brandon Diamond Harris of Detroit, MI, Christopher (Jeanettie) Carter, Joseph Christopher Jr., Winfred Joseph, Christopher Aiden Carter, all of Palmdale CA; uncle, Early (Catherine) McConnell; cousins, Roger, Kenneth and Terry McConnell, all of Cincinnati, OH, Eleanor Bentley, Elliott Jones, Warren (Marie) Smith and Christina Tyler all of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Raechel, Heather and Brian Guest and Michael Donan (father of Jade), Family of Detroit, Chicago, Mississippi and Cincinnati. Ms. Harris was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nettie Harris; aunts, Mattie Lee Davis, Nettie M. Dubois and Eloise Carter Jones; uncles, Earnest Dubois, Jimmie Carter, Warren Carter, Jimmie Washington and Julius Jones. The family would like to express special thanks to Mrs. Marie Smith for all the loving friendship and care given to Pat.
