Mrs. Patricia Elsie Gibson

GIBSON, Mrs. Patricia - Age 65, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 1:30 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM Pastor Robert Parish, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Tuesday. Mrs. Gibson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. Mrs. Patricia Elsie Gibson, age 65, transitioned peacefully on Thursday, November 11th, 2022 at McLaren-Flint. Patricia was born August 10th, 1957, the daughter of the late Ruth and Arthur West. She attended Beecher High school, but graduated from Mott Community College in 1978. Patricia was married in 1996 to JC Gibson. She was known and loved by many. Patricia carried many titles and was known as a “jack-of-all-trades”. She loved skating, sewing/ crocheting, crossword puzzles, fishing and ballroom dancing. Patricia had a green thumb and loved working in her garden until she wasn't physically able to do so anymore. In spite of her health, nothing stopped her from doing what she loved the most, and that's praising and worshipping God! Her laugh was contagious, and her whistle was unmatched. She will be forever remembered as a selfless and loving mother, a wonderful grandmother, a beautiful sister, aunt and friend. Mrs. Patricia Elsie Gibson leaves to cherish her memory: 3 sons, Anthony West, Carl West and Edward West, all of Flint; 14 grandchildren, Zonobia Harrison, Sabrina (Ethan) Bush, Iowa, Patricia II, Anthony Jr, Calvin, Deayreon Newton, Edward, Ky’Asianay, Daniya, Jameelah, Jibril, Jari, Jasim and Jeremiah "Mr Fluffy"; 3 sisters, Grace (Dean) Davis, Elisa Arrington and Mildred West; 2 brothers, Arthur (Juanita) West and Joseph (Veronica) West; a host of nieces and nephews; lifelong friend and father of 2 of her children, Anthony Bullock; a host of other relatives and friends including her closest friend, Ms. Juanita Atkins. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Arthur West; sisters, Lavonne Bullock, Willie Mae Wesley, Jeanette Dean and Luella Alexander; brothers, Claudies Garrison and Willie Dean; her sons father, Carl M. Leverette. The family would like to thank McLaren-Flint Select and its medical staff, and Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home.
