Mrs. Patricia Boyce Johnson

JOHNSON, Mrs. Patricia Boyce - Age 63, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 4:30 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 5:00 PM Pastor Fredrick Flowers, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 4:30 PM Saturday. Mrs. Johnson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Patricia Ann Boyce-Johnson was born February 2, 1959 in Covington, Tennessee, the daughter of Billy and Dorothy Boyce. The family left Tennessee and moved to Flint, Michigan in 1966. She graduated from Northern High School in 1977. She received a certificate from Mott Community College in 2003 and graduated from Baker College in 2012. Patricia was an employee at Goodwill Industries, Data2Logistics, and Loving Hands. She was a member of Refuge Temple Church of Flint. Patricia enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends and homemade Sunday dinners. She enjoyed the love of her life, her dog Jazzy. She loved her flowers and was proud of the dishes she would cook (and yes you would get a picture!) She also loved to help others and was always there to help in a time of need. One of her favorite moments was traveling to Hawaii with her sister Sharon to visit their friend Miranda (Michelle) Bowers and her husband Jon Chamness. Patricia Ann Boyce-Johnson leaves to cherish her memory: parents, Billy & Dorothy Boyce; best friend, James Ishmel Jr; brother, Donald (Jackie) Boyce; sister, Glenda “Niecy” Boyce (Derek); niece, Latoya (Donnie) Scott; 4 nephews, Demetrius (Christina) Ridgell, Donald (Renee) Boyce Jr, Marquiste Boyce (Teresa) and Marquavis Boyce (KeShara); great-nieces, Malayah Scott, Olivia Ridgell; great-nephews, Kawan Turner, Gabriel Boyce, and Miles Boyce; 4 aunts, Lee Laster, Dovie Boyce, Myrtle Burrell, and Mary Sanders; godson, Donsha Blaylock; best friend, Jeannie Mayberry; family friend, Jerry (J-Good) Goodlow; her Rankin and Ridgeway Street family; a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Kinyata Andre Boyce, sister, Sharon Boyce; nephew, Devonte’ Andre Boyce; ex-husbands, Charles Webb and Jessie Johnson; grandparents, many aunts and uncles. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Frederick Flowers Sr. and the Promise Tabernacle Church family, Pastor Charles E. Roots and the Canaan Baptist Church family.
