REDMON, Pastor Ollie - of New Fountain of Life Ministries age 55, passed away Monday, December 24, 2007 at Avalon Hospice. Family hour 10AM Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Faith Deliverance Center, 2814 Lewis St., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Bishop Gladys Y. Lester, officiating. Bishop Bernadel Jefferson, Pastor. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Saturday. Pastor Redmon will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Pastor Ollie Meree Redmon was born August 19, 1952 in Yazoo City, Mississippi, the daughter of Corean Runnels and Ollie Williams. Pastor Redmon moved early in her childhood to Flint with her parents. Pastor Redmon was a graduate of Central High School in 1970 and Mott Community College in 1972, where she earned her Associates degree in Business Administration. She was a salary employee for General Motors Corporate Office for 15 years. Following her career there, Pastor Redmon answered the call upon her life and entered into ministry. She was ordained a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ September 1994, by Free Indeed Min., Inc. Pastor Redmon continued her studies, graduating from Flint Bible Institute with honors in 1997. She later received her diploma in Practical Theology from International Seminary in 2000. Pastor Redmon was the founder and Pastor of New Fountain of Life Ministries Church. She remained a faithful member of the Free Indeed Min., Inc. Diocese, with Bishop Gladys Lester as her presiding Bishop, mentor and dearly treasured friend. She was greatly loved in the faith community and her memory will be greatly cherished by the many lives she touched. Surviving with her loving memory: 3 children, Nicole LeAndre Runnels, Henry Charles Redmon, Jr., and Henrika Coriece Redmon; brother, Bobby LeRoy Williams; uncle, Paul (Aunt Katie Mae) Williams; mother-in-law, Juanita Redmon; sister-in-law, Cassandra Redmon; brother-in-law, Matthew Redmon; special friends, Pastor Rose Richardson, Bishop Bernadel Jefferson and Overseer Kim Young; a host of beloved friends and family. Pastor Redmon was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Corean (Runnels) Williams.
