NELSON, Mrs. Para Lee - Age 85, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, October 14, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Alfred L. Harris, Jr., officiating. Intermemt Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Nelson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, with family present from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Mrs. Para Lee Nelson was born May 22, 1938 in Bloomburg, Texas, the daughter of Elmo (Pastoria) Lane. Para was the wife of Patrick Nelson. She worked at Flint Osteopathic Hospital and Ascension Genesys Hospital for 45 years. Her favorite thing to do was cleaning and cooking. Mrs. Para Lee Nelson leaves to cherish her memory: 4 daughters, Linda Kaye Nelson, Brenda Faye Brooks (Andrew Blacknold), Dorothy Jean Nelson and Patricia Ann Nelson (Coy Bridges); granddaughters, Nikeisha Nelson, and Jacquella Nelson (Traylon Veal); grandsons, Lorenzo (Chiquita) Nelson Sr., Cedric (Kay) Nelson, Anthony (Tameka) Nelson, all of Flint; great-grandchildren, Miyanna Nelson, Aniya Nelson, Kimori Nelson, Lorenzo Nelson Jr., Angelica Nelson, D.J. Nelson, Aliyonah Veal Nelson, Jalen Nelson, Nariyah Malachi; great-nephew, Braylan Lane; sister, Shirley Harris of Houston, TX; brother, Johnnie (Alzay) Lane of St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law, Bobby Lane; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Zepha) Nelson of Flint; nieces, Tamisha Laster of Houston, TX, Angela (Chauncey) Lane of Flint, Kathreen Abraham, Monzelle Price, both of Detroit, MI and Joyce (Rev. Tom) Price of Alabama; nephews, Trenton (Dr. Nicole) Harris of Houston, TX and Corey (Argenia) Lane of Fint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Cora Harden, Terry Lynn Kirkland, Delano Mills, Emma Jean Roland, Anthony Paxton, Johnny Mayfield and Genie Gay. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Nelson; daughter, Jacqueline Nelson; granddaughters, Cierra Nelson and Ericka Nelson; parent, Elmo and Pastoria Lane, Modessie Lane; sister, Aleen Singleton, Rosie B. Nelson and Lizzie Mae Larry; brother, Willie Lane, Donnie Lane, Charles Lane and U.L Lane; niece, Latonya Lane; special friends, Emma Webb and Shilo Nelson.
