Mrs. Ozella Denise Duke-Grigsby

DUKE-GRIGSBY, Mrs. Ozella Denise - Age 62, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor John Coleman officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Tuesday. Mrs. Duke-Grigsby will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday. Mrs. Ozella Denise Duke Grigsby was born July 9, 1955 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, the daughter of Stella Duke and Archie Wright. She attended Flint Northwestern High School. Ozella loved watching movies, going to family outings, listening to music and dancing. She also enjoyed just having lots of fun, eating, doing Crossword and Word Search puzzles. Mrs. Ozella Denise Duke Grigsby leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Ricky Grigsby of Flint; 2 step-children, Ricky Grigsby Jr. ad Tinica Bradley; grandson, Ricky Grigsby III; 3 sisters, Stella Applewhite of Milwaukee, WI, Dyrenda Taylor of Mt. Clemens, MI and Janent Stennis of Flint; 5 nieces, Rosalyn Duke, Darnesha Shelby, both of Mt. Clemons, MI, Latrice Wright, Alectris Wright and Crystal Stennis, all of Flint; 4 nephews, James Duke, Terance Roberson, both of St. Louis, MO, Charron Williams and Demetrius Wright; mother-in-law, Rosetta Grigsby, all of Flint; sister-in-law, Saundra “Gale” Hodges; 2 brothers-in-law, James Douglas Taylor of Mt. Clemons, MI and Duane Stennis of Port Huron, MI; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Brenda Williams, Craig Ross and Stephanie Byrd, all of Flint. Mrs. Grigsby was preceded in death by her parents, Stella Duke and Archie Wright; grandmother, Francis Fizer; sisters, Mary Fisher and Nancy Duke; brothers, Billy Bolden, Robert Louis Duke, Bernie Duke, John Henry Duke and Harry Duke; niece, Latonda Duke; father-in-law, Rev. Clinton Grigsby; brother-in-law, Clarence Grigsby.
