McLEMORE, Mr. Orlandris "Pops"- Age 66, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at his residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Orlando Goodman, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy.., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 10:00 AM Tuesday. "Pops" will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. Mr. Orlandris Postoria McLemore, affectionately known as “Pops,” was born on October 5, 1958, in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1967, the family relocated to Michigan. He was the beloved son of Arthur and Marzella McLemore. Orlandris was baptized at an early age at St. John Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. He graduated from Flint Northwestern High School in 1977 and attended Alabama State University, where he played baseball. He went on to work as an Engineer at General Motors Corporation, dedicating 31 years to the company., Orlandris was a devoted father, husband, brother, and friend. He had a deep love for sports, especially softball, and played on several teams, including Berston’s Most Hated (BMH), alongside his sons. He also cherished spending time with lifelong friends—Calvin “Cuz” Odum, James “Fitz” Anderson, Clarence “Junebug” Vaughn, Felix “Toejoe” Miller Jr., Edward “Daytime” Day, Lloyd “Big Mayes” Mayes, Jeffery “Turk” Harrison, Michael Jamison, and Llewellyn Mayfield—who became family. Together, they would reminisce about the good old times. Orlandris met Daphine in 1983, and they were married in August 2009. Together, they shared a loving life filled with travel, date nights, sports events, and visits with grandchildren. Mr. Orlandris Postoria McLemore leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife of 15 years, Daphine McLemore of Macomb, MI; daughter Kadaria (Leon) Pope of Fairburn, GA; sons Kadarius (Trisha) McLemore of Grand Blanc, MI, and Devin Dove of Macomb, MI; honorary daughter Erika Brown of Augusta, GA; sister Andre Maria Taylor of Swartz Creek, MI; brother-in-law Derrick (Juana) Betts of Flint, MI; sister-in-law LaFrance (Donald) Rice of Denver, CO; brothers-in-law Willie (Jane) Betts of Pennsylvania and Dywaine Betts of Flint, MI; sister-in-law Chilitha (Alan) Webb of Denver, CO; and his grandchildren Simeon, Kelan, Taniya, Leon Jr., and Kali. He is also survived by a host of family, friends, and loved ones. Mr. McLemore enters eternal rest with his beloved daughter Nailah McLemore; his parents, Arthur and Marzella McLemore; his brothers Gerald and Arthur “Kipp” McLemore; and his special niece Yuanna Taylor. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Macomb County Police Department and the emergency medical service team for their support and care
