Ms. Onesti L. Minniefield

MINNIEFIELD, Ms. Onesti L. - Age 20, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Family Worship Center Church International, 3280 N. Linden Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor James Hodo officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Thursday. Ms. Minniefield will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday. Ms. Onesti Laniece Minniefield was born August 10, 1997 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Ms. Sherita Swanigan and Derrick Minniefield. Laniece found God at an early age and was a lifelong member of Family Worship Center Church International. She attended Flint Public School System, where she graduated from Academy West. She also attended Mott Community College of Flint. She was employed by Burlington Coat Factory in Auburn Hills, MI. Onesti enjoyed watching and playing Basketball. She loved to laugh and entertain her friends and make them laugh. Her wonderful smile lit up the room and she loved taking “selfies”. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was especially proud to be a mother. Her greatest desire in life was to make a great life for her son, Edwin Lamar Horton. Ms. Minniefield leaves to cherish her memory: son, Edwin Lamar Horton of Flint; parents, Sherita Swanigan and Derrick Minniefield; grandparent’s, Jardean Thornton and Clarence Minniefield Sr.; sister Ashley Lewis; brother, Christopher Lewis; a host of aunts; a host of uncles, including, Eric Seward, Clarence Minniefield II and Delano Turnipseed; a host of cousins, including Alicia Hodge, Priness Swanigan, Clarence Minniefield, Jordan Minniefield, both of Toledo, OH and Amos Swanigan; a host of other relatives and friends, includining; godparents, LaToya West and Darcel (Michael) Phinise-Clack. Ms. Onesti Laniece Minniefield was preceded by: grandparents, Carolyn Minniefield and Donnell Swanigan.
