Mother Ollie Mae Hudson

HUDSON, Mrs. Ollie Mae - Age 92, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, January 17, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawerence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 1:30 PM Friday. Mrs. Hudson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawerence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday. Mother Ollie Mae Hudson was born August 10, 1932 in Belle Mina, Alabama, the daughter of Minerva Mastin and Wesley Sanfur. Mother Hudson graduated from Leighton Training School in 1954. That same year she moved from Leighton, AL to Flint, Michigan. Upon arriving in Flint she went to work at Herlich Drug Store. Later on she worked for Hillier Hairdresser. Mother Hudson loved doing hair and was well known for her Press-and-Curl. She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing and singing Gospel Hymns. Mother Hudson had a green thumb and would plant and tend to her own garden. She loved the Lord, accepting Christ at an early age. When in good health she would read her Bible every day. Mother Hudson was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board under the ministry of her brother, the late Pastor Lewis Randolph Jr. as her health would allow. Mother Ollie Mae Hudson leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Rochelle Hudson of Reynoldsburg, OH; 3 sons, Kevin (Sherry) Hudson of Deltona, FL, Dexter (Carolyn) Hudson of Grand Blanc, MI and Bryant Hudson of Flint; 12 grandchildren, Dawn Hudson of Smyrna, GA, Duncan Hudson, Danielle Hudson Breanna Hudson, Naveah Hudson of Grand Blanc, MI, Brandon Hall of Gahanna, OH, Brea Hall, Blare Hall, both of Columbus, OH, Dinah Hudson, Bryant Hudson II, both of Chicago, IL, Nicole Hudson and Dominique Shelton of Deltona, FL; 7 great-grandchildren, Diamond Hudson, Dorian Hudson, both of Flint, Jordan Logan of Smyrna, GA, Summer Shelton, Demetri Shelton, both of Delton, FL, Harlem Manning of Columbus, OH and Braylon Hudson of Gahanna, OH; 3 sisters, Catherine Thomas, Betty Walker and Geneva Eberechuku; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mother Hudson was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Sanfur; mother, Minerva (Lewis) Randolph; sister, Cornelia Randolph; brothers, Nemiah Mastin, James Mastin, John Mastin, AC Mastin and Lewis Randolph Jr.; and best friend, Delores King.
