RUSH, Ms. Olivia M. - Age 60, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at Ascension-Genesys. Family Hour 1:30 PM Friday, September 29, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd, with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM, Pastor Janard Lakes, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Funeral Home 1:30 PM Friday. Ms. Rush will Lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2023. Ms. Olivia Marie Rush was born July 27, 1963 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Deloice Rush and Robert Lee Miner. Olivia was employed at Integrated Living as a Caregiver and at Genesys Home Health. Olivia graduated from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1982.” She enjoyed shopping, concerts, watching movies and spending quality time with family and friends. Ms. Olivia Marie Rush leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Maya Rush; son, Anquon Deon Rush, both of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Su’Miya Chambers and Marcus Chambers II; step-father, Robert Lee Jones; god-children, NiTisha Smith, Morgan Ryan, Oleando Smith and Tytianna Smith; god-mother, LaRosa Robinson of Paducah, KY; 3 sisters, Fredia Rush, Jaquetta Moore, and Tina Goler, all of Flint; 5 brothers, Robert Lee Miner, Antonio Rush, Dennis Ray Goler, Terry Goler and Clifford Tyrone Goler; god-sister/best friend, Angela Smith; god-brothers, John Rouse and Doug Gibson; god-sisters, Rhonda Wilson, Robin “Nikki” Beene and Fredricka Cross; nieces, Angelique Rush, Moshon Rush, Aschandriea Jones, Sharita Jones, Jaya Rush and Brooklyn Rush; nephews, Brandon Rush, Jarquise Rush and Antonio Rush Jr.; aunts, Wilma Jean (George) Smith and Lillian Guyton; a host of cousins including special cousins, Tiffany (Tyrone) Broadnax, Shiela Rush, Gloria (Felice) Simmons and Dominique Green; a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Rush was preceded in death by her daughter, Malaysia Rush; parents, Deloice Rush and Robert Miner Sr.; special cousins, Shiela Mays, Joel Rush; and siblings, Marcus Miner and Rodney Goler; 11 aunts; and 13 uncles.
