WILLIAMS, Mrs. Olga - Age 69, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at The Lavigne Home. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, October 11, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM Pastor Janard Lakes, officiating. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 1:30 PM Friday, October 11, 2024. Mrs. Williams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Renee Hall Williams was born December 15, 1954 in Leland "Black Dog", Mississippi, to her parents Chycken and Fred Hall. Following the death of Chycken, at age 14 she relocated to Flint, Michigan with her natural mother Vevera Lloyd. Living between Flint and Detroit, she spent most of her time with aunts, uncles, and cousins. As the first cousin, she would help lay the groundwork for family relationships, traditions, and fun we still enjoy. Renee graduated from Cooley High School of Detroit c/o 1972. While residing in Detroit she birthed her first child, Christopher, and moved back to Flint permanently. There she would reconnect and marry her Flint Northwestern High School classmate Wendell Williams. The family of 3 grew to 5 with the births of Jeffrey and Michelle. After the birth of her third child, Renee decided to take an interest in the local performing arts scene, joining the McCree Theatre and Agree Theatre Group. There she flourished as a dancer, actress, and singer. This began lifelong bonds with numerous friends and started her journey into stand-up comedy. Later, she and her husband parted ways, and years later she welcomed her final child, Randi. Professionally, Renee worked many positions in management and human resources until she settled in at Citizens Bank. During her 17-year tenure with Citizens, she fostered many relationships with the community. Renee also began hosting after-work events for Flint Professionals. At these events, she was able to include her love of live jazz music and comedy while networking. In 2015 she retired from Huntington Bank and spent time with her children, community, and family/friends. Renee Hall Williams leaves to cherish her memory: children: Christopher David Williams, Jeffrey Kenneth Williams, Michelle Renee Williams, Randi Alecia (Christopher) Lawrence; granddaughter, Paige King; great-granddaughter, Lauryn, all of Flint; aunt, Delores London of Detroit MI; uncles, Curtis Lloyd (Betty) of Atlanta GA and Miller London (Toi) of Detroit MI; a host of beloved cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Sandra Marshall of Bronx NY, Bryan McCree of Flint and Tyrik Wicks of Las Vegas, NV. Renee was preceded in death by her parents, Chycken and Fred Hall; and Vevera Lloyd.
