EVANS, Mr. Odolphs L. - Age 37, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2012 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11 a.m. Pastor Floyd Fuller, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Friday. Mr. Evans will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1-8 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Odolphs Ladell Evans was born November 4, 1974 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Ezell and Zenobia Evans. He attended Flint Public Schools and received his GED from Job Corp., with a Certificate in Welding. Odolphs worked on cars with knowledge gained from his dad and granddad, Jack Tartt. Odolphs also did other carpentry work on houses such as dry wall and painting or whatever someone wanted him to do he was willing. He loved to eat especially cake and spend time with his family. Mr. Evans leaves to cherish his memory: children, Scottie Evans and Titiona Williams; parents, Ezell and Zenobia Evans; grandparents, Jack and Lena Tartt of DeKalb, MS and Louella Evans of Flint; sisters, Tarekka (Brian) Tyler, Terese Evans, all of Flint and Chiquitia (Samuel) Pearson of Seoul, Korea; brothers, Ezell Evans and Eric Evans, both of Flint; nieces, Brianna Tyler, Zenobia Merriwether, N’Dea Evans, Chiquitia Evans, all of Flint and Raven Merriwether of Pittsburg, PA; 6 nephews, Jacob Pearson of Seoul, Korea, Eric Evans, Jr. of Detroit, MI, Ethan Evans of Port Huron, MI, Nysir Chatman of Flint, Julian and Xavier Evans, both of Mississippi; 9 aunts, Kimberly (Ronald) Stamps, Zlotta Tartt, Judy (Emmanuel) Cabine, Joyce Evans, Doris Evans and Sadie Burks, all of Flint, Nicckhale Sundaj of Tupelo, MS, Jacqueline Hunter of St. Petersburg, MO and Yeaka (Tyrodney) Jefferson of Houston, TX; 5 uncles, Jack Tartt, Tommy Evans, Timmy Evans, Anthony Evans and Larry Evans, all of Flint; a host of cousins including special cousins, Jerome and Jermaine Evans and Monte and Tavaras Tartt; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Maurice Tripplett, Taras Rushing and William Tedford. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ezell Evans 2006; aunt, Mrs. Pearlie Bush 2009; and uncle, James Tartt 2010.
