WREN, Mr. O.B. - Age 66, passed away Monday, May 26, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10AM Saturday, May 31, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM, Min. Tommie Chaney officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10AM Saturday. Mr. Wren will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mr. O.B. Wren was born March 10, 1942 in Hernando, MS, the son of Relias (Allar) Wren. He confessed in Christ at an early age and was a resident of Flint for 46 years. O.B. was employed by Buick City a division of General Motors for 30 years. He loved to go fishing and hunting. O.B. really loved working in his garage, on his lawnmower, snowblower anything that turned, ticked or moved. He enjoyed his life and always had something to say to make you laugh. O.B. was that man that everybody wished they had as a friend, because if he was your friend you were never along. Mr. O.B. Wren leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lorean Wren; 2 daughters, Mr. & Mrs. Dian (Purvill) Chaney of Louisville, KY, Mr. & Mrs. Sherry Ann (Frank) Smith of Florida; 4 sons, Mr. & Mrs. Jimmie R. (Wanda) Allen of Flint, Mr. O.B. Wren, Jr., of Nashville, TN, Mr. Bobby Allen of Alpena, MI and Mr. Christopher Wren of California; adopted son, Mr. Bennie Scales, Jr., of Flint; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ms. Ophelia Dixon of Flint and Ms. Brenda Bowie of Memphis, TN; 4 brothers, Mr. & Mrs. C.J. (Margaret) Wren, Mr. & Mrs. Relias (Earlene) Wren, Mr. & Mrs. Oliver (Versia) Wren all of Flint and Mr. Dunell Bowie of Memphis, TN; host of nieces, nephews and cousins; aunt, Ms. Ada Miles; 3 sisters-in-law, Ms. Michele Cheeseman of Detroit, MI, Deborah and Wilma Robinson of Memphis, TN; 2 brothers-in-law, John S. (Deborah) Robinson of Flint, Thomas C. (Beathrice) Robinson of Herando, MS; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, J.D. Smith, Comer Nunn and Willie Williams, nephews, Will Hamlett, Warren Thompson and Mr. Lewis. Mr. Wren was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Relias (Allar) Wren; sisters, Senora Newsome and Ellen Thompson.
