WILLIAMS, Ms. Norris - Age 70, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2007 at her residence. Family hour 10:30AM Friday, January 26, 2007 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Pastor Keith Evans officiating. Bishop Odis A. Floyd, Pastor. Interement Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Friday. Mrs. Williams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Thursday. Ms. Norris was born September 2, 1936 in Watson Arkansas to the union of the late Matt and Henrietta (Branch) McDonald. She became a Christian at age 15 at St. John A.M.E. Church in Watson Arkansas. She was an honor student in Grammar school in Arkansas. In 1953 she moved with her family to Chicago Illinois where she completed high school. In February of 1957 she married David R. Williams and moved to Flint Michigan. Of this union were born 6 children. She was an employee of AC Sparkplug (General Motors) for 30 years. She was a loyal fan of both basketball and tennis. Her hobbies included cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, and bowling, but most of all spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Norris Williams leaves to cherish in her memory: her beloved 6 children, David L. Williams, Vallrey K. Crump (Robert) of Mason Ohio, Derrek Williams (Regina), Mark A. Williams (Teresa), Kimberly C. Williams, and Tiffany D. Williams of Monroe Ohio; 7 grandchildren, Tasheikya Wohlford (Matthew), Derrek Williams Jr., Brittany A. Crump, Dwight Austin, David R. Williams II, Aftyn S. Williams, Ayden "Markie" Williams; 3 great-grandchildren, Kiasha Wohlford, Kayla Wohlford, and Matthew Wohlford; parents Matt and Henrietta McDonald (deceased); truly loved brothers, Jonathan McDonald, Louis Charles (Audrey) McDonald, Matt McDonald (Maxine) all of Chicago Illinois; and special "sister" & cousin Meutril Lee Scott Miles, dear cousin Louise Grays; ex-husband and dear friend David R. Williams, life-long friends Magdaline Mitchell, Zetan Evans, Doresia Bowie, and Barbara Johnson; a host of dear cousins and friends.
