LYONS, Mr. Norman F. - Age 49, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at Kith Haven Skilled Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. Family hour 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 4, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Funeral Home 10:30 AM Thursday. Mr. Lyons will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Wednesday.Mr. Norman Frederick Lyons “Pookie” or "Big Norm", departed this life and entered heaven on 10/25/2021. He entered this life on June 04, 1972 born to Milton Odell and Inize (Kelly) Lyons. Norman was the baby of his siblings; Dorris & Marvin Lyons. He was a student at King Elementary and graduated from Flint School of Choice he had an excellent and artistic way of drawing in his senior year, his drawing’s were displayed on canvas as being remarkable. Norman held various jobs, and had many dear friends from his childhood and for a lifetime. Mr. Norman Frederick Lyons memory will be cherished and he will be missed by: son, TraQuez C. Lyons; mother, Inize Lyons, both of Flint; brother, Marvin O. Lyons (Donna) of Royal Oak, MI; sister, Dorris M. Lyons (Timothy Allen) of Memphis, TN; nieces, Tyra M. Allen of Memphis, TN and Monae Lyons (Chris) of Detroit, MI; nephew, James Anthony Everette-Lyons of Hampton, VA; the mother of his son, Sherrese Harris; step-daughters, BriShari Harris and Shakiyha Campbell; many aunts, uncles, cousins in Philadelphia, and Jackson, MS; dear friends and close friends/brothers, Calvin and Jonathon Mateen, Walter and Jaman Green, Chet, Chris, Lee and Willie Shakir, the Eason family, the McGee family, West Rankin Street families, and sisters-in-love, Gretchen L. Thomas, Kecia Jones and Fra Thomas. Norman was preceded in death by his father, Milton Odell Lyons; step-father, John C. McCann; maternal grandparents, Less and Jessie Mae Kelly; paternal grandparents, George Sr. and Callie Lyon; uncles, George Lyon, Sr, Donnie Ray Lyons, Dennis Lyons, Henry Tom, Jim, Troy, Lester, Gene and Herman Kelly; cousin, McArthor Lyons; cousin, Ricky Culberson.
