TURNER, Mrs. Nodie Mae - Age 58, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Nodie was taken from her earthly vessel and is now residing in paradise awaiting the glorious return of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday at Southeast Christian Center G-4171 Lapeer Rd., homegoing service commencing at 11AM. Elder Wilbert Reed, Jr. officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Saturday. Mrs. Turner may be viewed from 1PM-8PM today at the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Mrs. Turner was born December 4, 1947 in Osceola, Arkansas, to Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Earnestine Jefferson. Nodie was united in holy matrimony to Eddie Lee Turner on August 8, 1964. She was a member of Christ the Rock Apostolic Church. She loved going to church, listening to gospel music, reading her bible, family gatherings, cooking, gardening, sitting outside on a sunny day and most of all "TALKING". Mrs. Turner leaves to cherish her memory: 5 daughters, Brenda Moore, Angela (Antonio) Forte, Vanessa Turner, Joyce Moore, Angel Turner; 5 sons, Eddie, Marcus, Tracey, Kenyatta, Maurice Turner; 53 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Loisstine (Jefferson) Donaldson, Bertha (Terry) Banks; 6 brothers, Robert (Emma) Jefferson, Frank (Martha) Jefferson, Gus (Dawnette) Jefferson, Earnest (Earnestine) Jefferson, Gale Jefferson, Harvey (Sylvia) Jefferson; 3 brothers in-law, Eugene Jones, Posten Turner, Melvin Glover; stepfather, Alonzo Richardson; stepson, Dennis Smith; stepdaughters, Chiquita (Gary) Hicks, Cacorya Turner and MyAsha Turner; Nodie also leaves to cherish a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Mary Henderson, JoAnn Tate, Maria Thompson and Maxine Miles. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Turner; daughter, Mary Turner; grandsons, Qua'von and Ty'Reese Turner; parents, Frank and Earnestine Jefferson; mother-in-law, Mary Richardson; father-in-law, Nelson Turner.
