GOSS, Mr. Nathaniel, Jr. "Buddy" - Age 66, passed away Friday, May 5, 2006 at his residence. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, May 13, 2006 from Canaan Baptist Church, 910 E. Gillespie, with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Pastor Charles E. Roots officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Saturday. Mr. Goss will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mr. Nathaniel "Buddy" Goss, Jr. was born October 31, 1939 in Williamston, North Carolina, the son of Nathaniel and Rosie Goss, Sr. Nathaniel attended East End High School in Robersonville, NC. In 1966 he was married to Jo-Ann Brown and to this union 3 sons were born, Alvin, James and Toby Goss. In 1966, he moved to Detroit, Michigan gaining employment at Fleetwood B.O.C., and retired in the year of 1991. He relocated to Flint. "Buddy" enjoyed fishing, lawn care and was an avid sports fan. His true love was with, The Detroit Pistons, Lions, Tigers, Red Wings "A Detroit Sports Fan". "Buddy" also loved and cared for his little dog "princess". One of his favorite sayings were "Love is Supreme". Mr. Nathaniel "Buddy" Goss, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: 3 sons, Alvin and James Goss of Robersonville, NC, and Toby (Ericka) Goss of Temple Hill, MD; 4 grandchildren, Shawn, Andrian, Jazmyn and Shantell Goss of Robersonville, NC; 5 sisters, Beatrice Brundidge, Mary (Obadiah) Reynolds and Gloria (Julius) Ross, all of Flint, Rosie (Sonnie) Moore of Robersonville, NC, and Geraline (Earl) Daniels of Williamston, NC; 6 brothers, Lester Williams of Pittsburgh, PA, Leroy (Marie) and Mack Goss, all of Detroit, MI, James (Carrie) Goss of Flint, Clarence (Maxine) and Arthur Goss of Williamston, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special friends Fred Johnson, Jerrold Brown and Spencer Eason. Mr. Goss was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Goss, Sr.; mother, Rosie Goss; and sister, Earlean Price. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Osamar of the DaVita Dialysis in Hallwood Plaza Center, and nurses, especially Shann for their dedication and care.
