Mrs. Nancy Miller

MILLER, Mrs. Nancy – age 86, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Briarwood. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Victorious Word Church, G-3560 Beecher Road., with Funeral Service commencing at 11:00 AM Rev. Rodney Murphy, officiating. Interment, Lovedale Cemetery, 5175 East Bristol Rd. Friends and Pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:30 AM Saturday. Mrs. Miller will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday with family present from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Mrs. Nancy Miller was born July 27, 1939, in Scobey, Mississippi, the daughter of O.D. and Ellen Thompson. Nancy married Q.B. Miller and had 7 children, 1 girl and 6 boys. She was a member of Preston Baptist Church in Scobey, Mississippi. Nancy moved to Flint, Michigan and became a member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from General Motors Corporation in 2002 and was a member of UAW Local #599. Nancy enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, bingo and getting glammed up. Mrs. Nancy Miller leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Claudette Pittman; sons, Woodrow (Bonita) Thompson, James (Sherita) Jones, Q.B. (Cheryl) Pittman and Tommie Pittman, all of Flint; sister-in-law, Gloria Carter of Chicago, IL; 3 daughters-in-law, Melissa Pittman of Louisville, KY, Lois White of Flint and Arlene Nance of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Knox of Flint, Darius (Tequisha) Pittman of Jefferson, IN, Woodrow (Autumn) Thompson Jr., Kenyun Pittman, Tyra Jones, Zemaior Pittman, all of Flint, Crystal Jones of Detroit, MI, Tamika Miller of Seattle, WA, Dana Pittman, of College Park, MD, Tanqaneka Pittman, both of Flint, Deja Pittman of Lansing, Mi, MeChellay Broadnax of Flint, Shayla Hughes of Charleston, SC, Lanease Norwood of Flint, Shari (Dimitrius) Shaw of Somerville, SC, Shemeka Polk of Flint, Terell Nance of Atlanta, GA, Ericka Williams and Cortez (Mechelle) Burns, all of Louisville, KY; 31 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; niece, Jettie M. Thompson of Flint; uncle, Oliver Wren; 6 cousins; a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Q.B. Miller; 2 sons, Dwan Pittman and Timothy Miller; 3 grandchildren, James Jones Jr., Christina Thompson and Candice Jones; bonus daughter, Jimmie Norwood; parents, O.D. and Ellen Thompson; brother, Warren (Shirley) Thompson; nieces, Wanda Thompson and Nancy Thompson. The family would like to express special thanks to Ann Sander, Freda Turner, and Briarwood Nursing Home staff.
