Mrs. Myrtle Lee Henry-Spearman

HENRY-SPEARMAN, Mrs. Myrtle Lee - Age 60, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at her residence. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 from Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. Eld. Wilbur Reed, Jr. officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, 5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 1:30 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Henry-Spearman will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Thursday, with family present 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Mrs. Myrtle Henry-Spearman was born January 2, 1953 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Robert Young and Minnie Spearman. She graduated from Northwestern High School and attended Washtenaw Community College studying to be a paralegal. She was employed by Hurley Medical Center and later was employed by Buick, a division of General Motors, and was a member of UAW Local #599. Myrtle loved family gatherings and she loved the Lord. Her passion was always taking care of people and she loved to laugh. She was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church and sang with the choir for 12 years. She later moved to Christ The Rock Church where she served wherever she was needed. She loved her church home, pastor and family; she loved to praise the Lord in dance and worship. Mrs. Myrtle Henry-Spearman leaves to cherish her memories: 7 step children, niece and nephew Tennedl Spearman and Christian Spearman, whom she raised as her own; grandchildren, Martrica Spearman and Derrick Walker Dunbar; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Isaiah Spearman and Jayden Evans; 2 sisters, Marjorie Spearman and Azarea Spearman a host of nieces, nephews and special nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Flo Cochran, Evangelist Arlivia White; Diana Covington and Valerie Toles. Mrs. Myrtle Henry-Spearman was preceded in death by son, Derrick Walker, parents, Robert Young and Minnie Pierce Spearman; brothers, Ralph Pierce Jr., Mitchell Pierce, Paul Pierce, Raymond Pierce, Pauline Pierce, Rose Spearman, Marquitta Spearman and Coco Spearman. The family would like to express special thanks to her mother-in-law, Ms. Corrine Walker for never leaving her side, special friends, Lorraine Green for being a true friend; Patricia Williams a true sister that never stopped loving her; Christ The Rock Church and Hospice Team of Davison which were the best.
