KEYES, Ms. ZaQuesha "Quay" - age 46, passed away, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:30 AM Monday, August 31, 2026, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Stephen Murphy Sr., officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the Funeral Home, 10:30 AM Monday. Ms. Keyes will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. ZaQuesha Biontae Keyes “Quay” transitioned into eternal life on August 18, 2026. She was born on the 1st day of August 1980, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Dale Dukes and Shawnda Keyes. Being the eldest of six children, she was always a protector Quay navigated life’s journey with heart and pride. She was a warrior in every sense and never wore the face of Defeat. Her outspoken nature speaks highly to who she was and what she stood for. She wasn’t afraid of anything. She loved and valued family most of all and her love for her sons and grandchildren was beyond measure. We celebrate the beautiful life of Zaquesha Keyes, who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her spirit will live on in us all. ZaQuesha Biontae Keyes “Quay” leaves to cherish her memory: 3 sons, Kenneth, Terion, and Kayion; god-son, Jemille “Jay” Carter; 7 grandchildren, Montel “MooMoo”, Miyonna, Nature, McKenzie, Kenzo, and Za’Ky; 7 siblings, JuaQuaze, JuaNicka, JuaNay, Joseph, and JuaKobe, July & Tami Copeland; 3 aunts, Dorhea (Kenneth) Burrell of Cleveland, Ohio, Flois and Gloria Dukes; 4 uncles, Walter (Gwendolyn) Dukes, Luther (Marjorie) Evans, Phillip (Tonya) Dukes, and Rudolph Dukes, all of Flint; 3 great-aunts, Cherry L. Brown, Joyce Keyes and JoAnn Batson; 2 great-uncles, Jeffrey (Angel) and Rodney Keyes; cousins, Kiara (Dimitri) Price, Isiah, and Chaniese; a host of cousins, other nieces, nephews, close friends and best friend, Latraice Guerrero. Zaquesha was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Mynne’ Copeland; grandparents, Henry and Martha Dukes, Norman and Dianne Keyes; great-grandparents; Richard James and Addie Mae Simpson, Russell and Mary Keyes; step-father, Joseph Simmons; aunts, Dorothy Ann and Marilyn Dukes; uncles, Richard, Henry and David Simpson, Samuel, Henry Michael, and David Dukes; mother-in-law, Gwendolyn Copeland.
