EBERECHUKU, Mrs. Geneva - Age 77, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:30 AM Friday, February 20, 2026, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 PM, Pastor Calvin Randolph, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Friday. Mrs. Eberechuku will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed only on the day of service. Mrs. Geneva Eberechuku passed away Monday, February 9th, 2026, at McLaren-Flint after a brief illness. Her sudden death has left a deep void in her family. Geneva was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Geneva was born on July 30, 1948, in Leighton, Alabama, to the late Louis and Minerva Randolph. She was the youngest of 10 children. She accepted Christ at an early age and often had a scripture to share for whatever problem you had. She retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company where she worked for over 25 years. Geneva was a certified interior decorator who loved crafting with her hands, creating flower arrangements, wreaths, Christmas trees, Easter baskets, and figurines. She was very generous, and whenever you visited her home, you usually left with something she had made. Geneva was smart and enjoyed taking classes. She was a certified nurse's aide and a published author. She wrote a book called “12 Steps to Love.” In her free time, Geneva especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved daughter and grandson, shopping on QVC, talking on the phone, and watching television. Mrs. Geneva Eberechuku leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Akil; daughter, Renee; grandson, Isaiah; 3 sisters, Catherine Thomas of Flint, MI, Betty Walker of Burton MI, Gail Mullins of Leighton, AL; sister-in-law, Edna Belle Mastin of Flint, MI; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Minerva Randolph; 3 sisters, Ollie Hudson, Cornelia Randolph-Jackson and Patsy Coffey; 6 brothers, James, Nemiah, AC and John Mastin, Pastor Lewis Randolph and John Burt Mullins; many other relatives and friends. The Eberechuku family would like to express special thanks to their family and friends who have supported them through this difficult time, the 5th-floor ICU doctors and nurses at McLaren Hospital, and the staff at Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Horne.
