Moore-Tyus, Mrs. Briona L. - age 49, passed away, Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Oasis at Pearland. Family Hour 10:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 1610 W. Pierson Rd, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Ralpheal Reed, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Road. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Moore-Tyus will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday with family present from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Mrs. Briona LaQuese Moore was born February 3, 1975 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of André and Judy Moore. Briona was affectionately known as “Bri”, to those who were most near and dear to her. She graduated from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1993.” Briona went on to further her education at Davenport University, where she obtained her Bachelor Degree and Central Michigan University where she obtained her Master Degree, both of which, were achieved with Honors. However, her biggest and most PRIZED HONOR, was the birth of her one and only son, Alonzo “Zoey” Williams, who she loved and adored with her ENTIRE heart. Briona was employed by General Motors Corporation for 25 years, and upon her last promotion, she was appointed as the Global Supply Chain Director in Wentzville, MO. Briona enjoyed laughing and spending time with her family, attending church, helping others, traveling, swimming, cruising, riding ATV’s and Jet Skis. She worked hard and she vacationed accordingly; always living her Very Best Life!!! Did I forget to mention how BOSSY she was? Bossing folk around was Briona’s favorite past-time!!! Nobody could get you together life “Bri”! Aside from her bossiness, she was loving, passionate, driven, determined, sweet, no-nonsense and never did she back down from a challenge. She had a pure heart, and she positively impacted every person she ever came in contact with. Briona was united in Holy Matrimony for 91/2 years to, Jennel “JT” Tyus. They wed in October of 2014 in sunny Las Vegas, NV.
