Mrs. Mozella Pitts-Robinson

PITTS-ROBINSON, Mrs. Mozella - Age 79, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. Pastor George Hodges, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Robinson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Mozella Pitts-Robinson was born February 23, 1936 in Scotts, Mississippi, the daughter of Augusta and Clyde Stewart. She later moved to Flint, Michigan in 1986 until she departed from this life. Mozella was a member of Third Avenue Baptist Church until it closed. She retired from Grand Blanc Convalescent Center. Mozella enjoyed cooking, baking, listening to gospel music and the blues, fishing, shopping and joy riding. She also enjoyed eating out, dancing and speaking her mind. Mozella was hard working and she loved her family dearly, cooking, going to the casino’s. She also loved going to church, singing, her favorite show, “The Price Is Right” and she loved her some fish. Her favorite saying was “If the Good Lord say so.” Mrs. Mozella Pitts-Robinson leaves to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Joyce (Robert) Dunson, LaVerne (Charles) Mordica and Horace “Jean” (Gregory) Higginbotham; 4 sons, Otis G. Tucker, Eddie “Kenny” Stewart-Robinson, Michael Robinson and Daniel Pitts-Robinson, all of Flint; granddaughter she raised as her own daughter, Tina Pitts of Austin, Texas; special companion, Steven Kienutske of Flint; grandchildren, Andrea, Charles Jr., Mozezetta, Reese, Angelyn, Stanley, Christopher, Demetric, Cetric, Jessica, Kiara, Jennifer, Gregory Jr., Greg, Tremayne, Daniel Jr., Tracy, Obie, James Jr., Lazerick, Sergio, Aundrell, Tasha, Brian, Tiffany, O.J., Adrian, Jade, Nicholas, Caleb, Danielle and Jerrell and a host of other grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; close cousin, Rosie Birch of Neptune, NJ; Sally Walker of Michigan whom she called sister; 2 sisters-in-law, Ethel Titus of Gary, IN and Mary Robinson of Greenville, MS. Mrs. Pitts-Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie L. Robinson; 3 children, Clyde and Darnell Stewart, and Obie J. Tucker, Sr.; parents, Augusta and Clyde Stewart. The family would like to express special their sincere gratitude for the many acts of kindness shown during their hour of bereavement, especially Ron White and neighbors.
