LARRY, Mother Maetta - Age 68, went home to be with the lord on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Southern Regional Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Family hour 10:30AM Friday, February 4, 2005 at New Heaven Missionary Baptist Church, G-3184 Pierson Rd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Dr. Fred S. White officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM. Mother Larry will lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1PM-8PM Thursday, February 3, 2005. Mother Maetta Larry was born June 28, 1936 in Doddridge, Arkansas, the daughter of James and Nellie Munerlyn. She accepted Christ at an early age and upon moving to Flint, she became a mother of the New Heaven Missionary Baptist Church. Mother Larry loved the word of God, cooking, and especially loved being with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved. Mother Maetta Larry leaves in God's care: 5 sons, James (Ruebena), KaRon (Winifred) and Christopher Larry, all of Flint, Ivory (Alice) Larry of Huntsville, TX, Bernard (Roshonda) Larry of Jonesboro, GA; 3 daughters, Dorothy and Iwanda Larry, and Lurlene (Marlin) Cameron, all of Flint; grandchildren, Laiondre, Matoya, Donta, Shawanda, Nikkia, KaRon, Jerrod, ShaQuandra and Keisha; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Toledo Johnson, Dorothy Carswell and Everlyn Tigner; and 4 brothers, Burnis, Roy, Napolean and James Munerlyn; a host of other relatives and friends. Mother Larry was preceded in death by her husband, Lee T. Larry; parents, James and Nellie Munerlyn; brothers, David, Otha, Calvin and Noel Munerlyn; and sister, Pauline Watson. The family would like to express special thanks to Shirley, Dr. Fred S. White and the New Heaven Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Frederick Flowers and the Golden Leaf Baptist Church, and Dr. James O.
