Mr. Moses Webb Jr.

WEBB, Mr. Moses Jr. - Age 81, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at his residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Living Word Ministries, 2001 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Rev. Theodore Sims, Jr., officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Saturday. Mr. Webb will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Friday, January 17, 2025 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, with family present from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Mr. Moses Webb Jr. was born August 3, 1943 in Potts Camp, Mississippi, the eldest child of Moses Sr. and Carrie Mae (Lester) Webb. In 1950, the family moved to Marion, Indiana. Later, Moses moved to Michigan, where he graduated from Ann Arbor High School. He was passionate about photography, playing cards, racquetball and basketball. Moses enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean Canadian Festival. Moses retired from General Motors Corporation and was a member of UAW Local #599. He also owned and operated an Adult Foster Care Facility in Flint, Michigan. Moses was deeply committed to instilling in his children the value of education and self-sufficiency. Moses was a devout Christian; he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Greater Holy Temple Church Of God In Christ. His most recent membership was at Living Word Ministry, where he actively participated in Sunday School, Morning Glory and the Men’s Ministry. Mr. Moses Webb Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife, Linda Webb; son, Rodney (Mechelle) Webb of Germantown, MD; 3 daughters, Leisja M. Webb of Louisville, KY, Dr. Laurie Webb of Chicago, IL and Latasha (Dewayne) Hopkins of Grand Blanc, MI; mother, Carrie Webb of Ann Arbor, MI; 2 sisters, Mary Jett and Cathy Webb, both of Ann Arbor, MI; 2 brothers, James Webb an Steve Webb, both of Ypsilanti, MI; many cherished cousins including, Effie (Elder Clarence) Whitmore, Carl Webb, Louise Webb, Catherine Webb, Kleatis Webb, Kevin Webb and Marie (Michael) Boards; a host of nieces, nephews, along with special friends, Donald Scott and Erica Webb. Moses was preceded in death by his father, Moses Webb Sr.; brother, Samuel Webb; aunts, Fannie Browning and Effie Lee Campbell; uncles, Roy Webb and Charles Webb; cousins, Elenor Watkins, Bertha Robinson, Charles Webb Jr. Clyde Webb and Rachel Webb.The family would like to express special thanks to DaVita Dialysis of Flushing, MI, Lawrence E.
