WOODS, Mrs. Minnie - Age 89, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024, at her residence. Family hour 10:30 AM, Friday, May 10, 2024, at Bristol Road Church of Christ, 1315 W. Bristol Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Brother Rigel Dawson, officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5176 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Friday. Mrs. Woods will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Thursday. Minnie Ola Woods, born on March 9, 1935, in Jasper, TX, passed away peacefully in her home in Flint, MI on May 5, 2024. She was the daughter of Arthur Limbrick, and her step-father and mother, Pollard and Emma Tucker. Minnie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Woods, sisters Dorothy Odum and Mary Alice Rhodes, brother Henry Limbrick, and granddaughter Danielle Woods. Minnie is survived by her sons Charles, Ronald, and Terrance Woods, her daughters Chyrita (Ernest) Wade and Sandra Collins, 12 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. On July 16, 1954, Minnie married the love of her life, Charles Woods, in Flint, Michigan. Together, they shared 55 yrs. of love and companionship until Charle’s homegoing in 2009. Minnie was a renowned figure in her community, known for her exceptional skills in sewing, cooking, and baking. From humble beginnings, Minnie's talent and passion for these crafts shone brightly. She dedicated her life to perfecting her skills and was always eager to share her knowledge and creations with others. As a seamstress, Minnie's nimble fingers transformed simple fabric into exquisite garments, earning her a reputation for impeccable craftsmanship. In the kitchen, her culinary talents were legendary. Her delicious dishes and delectable desserts brought people together, whether for a family gathering or a community event. Minnie's impact on her community extended beyond her talents. As a lifelong member of The Church of Christ, she was known for her generous spirit and kind heart. Her legacy continues to resonate, inspiring those around her to strive for kindness and excellence.
